Aston has been working with a number of Companies in China who offer internships for overseas university students or graduates to gain work experience, an understanding of Chinese culture and of the Chinese way of life.

An internship in China is a great opportunity for recent college graduates and also current undergraduates. If you are seeking to learn business Chinese, or to improve your business Chinese this is the perfect way to do so. The internship program is also an excellent option for Business majors seeking to gain valuable experience abroad. The real life skills you will learn working at a company in China can provide a valuable foundation for your future career.

Term Dates:
From three to six months
Working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (twenty hours a week)

Requirements:
1) Currently enrolled university students or people who are interested in learning about Chinese culture and gaining work experience in China.
2) Positions are open to native speakers of the following languages: English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish and Thai, but your English language must be of sufficient level for communication at work.
3) Easy going personality, responsible and patient..

Cost of Participation:
1) Return flight/Round Trip (from London or another UK city to Shanghai); cost around ?50 (GBP) with a student ID.
2) Single entry VISA, ?0 for British nationals, 16 Euro for European nationals, $100 for US nationals.
3) Overseas Travel Insurance (optional).

The Company provides:
1) Free Accommodation. A private single room and a living/dinning room, bathroom and toilet shared with other staff. The apartment is equipped with a television and DVD player, fridge, freezer, microwave, gas cooker, cutlery, washing machine, air-conditioning, heating and hot water.
2) No bills to pay, Internet, gas, electricity and water are provided (the use of air-conditioner and telephone charges must be paid for by the participant).
3) Free lunch (from Tuesday to Sunday).
4) Airport pick-up at either Nanjing or Shanghai airport.
5) Free transportation between work place and resident place.
6) Living allowance of 500 or 1,000 RMB a month, depending on experience and higher qualifications.
7) Introduction to the work of the Company and its staff, with training leading to a participating role.
8) Regular meetings to provide support for your participation.
9) Ten hours of free Chinese lessons a week.
